Athletes Walk On and Salute (IOC Mock Competition)

The common practice is as follows:

  • Stand Upright with the body straight.
  • Clench your right fist.
  • Straighten your left palm to have 4 fingers in plane, and your left thumb slightly bent.
  • Wrap your two hands together (the left palm over the right clenched fist).
  • Placed the two hands in front of your chest, but make sure that your two elbows do not come up.

Athletes walking on the carpet and saluting during a mock wushu competition organized by the IWuF (International Wushu Federation) for members of the the IOC (International Olympic Committee) as part of their bid to have wushu in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Each division was represented by a member of the (then) Chinese National Team showcasing various styles of wushu taolu with proposed International Olympic rules. This mock-competition took place on October 19, 2006 during the 2nd World Traditional Wushu Festival held in Zhengzhou, Henan, China.

Her athlete career is more than 20 years, she was Gold Medalist of Hong Kong International Wushu Festival, All Japan Wushu Taijiquan Championships, All Japan Wushu Taijiquan Tournament, Osaka Wushu Taijiquan Championships. The countries where been to: Australia, Hong Kong, China(Guangzhou, Nanjing), Macau, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Dubai, Malaysia and India.
